Design and Build Your Own Lego Figure at Disney Springs

Sharing is caring!

Lego fans will be thrilled to know that you can now design and build your own Lego minifigure at the Lego Store in Disney Springs!

This unique experience—that is only available in a total of 9 US Lego Stores—is one of the coolest things to do in Disney Springs. And during our last trip to Orlando, we just knew we couldn’t pass up the chance to create our own Lego mini-figures. After all, it’s not everyday you can design a Lego character to look just like you, is it?

Create Your Own Lego Figure – How It Works

As the Lego Minifigure factory is extremely popular, I highly recommend booking a time slot so you don’t miss out on the experience. You can book a time by calling the Disney Springs store ((407) 828-0065) or by clicking the “Book the LEGO Minifigure Factory experience”  link on the Disney Springs Lego Store website. We walked in quite early in the morning and were able to make an appointment for after lunch.

Once you arrive at the Lego Store, you’ll need to make your way to the Lego Minifigure Factory Kiosk, which you’ll find in the centre of the store. The kiosk has a colourful sign, so you really can’t miss it.

After paying the cashier, you can get to work designing your minifigure’s t-shirt by flicking through the personalisation options on the computer screen. There are honestly so many pre-designed clothing items to choose from. However, you can also create your own designs with the freestyle painting, sticker, and text tools.

Once you’ve selected a name and a final design for your minifigure—including a head, hair piece, trousers, and accessory (a backpack, a football, or flowers, for example) — your creation will then be sent to a printer for the final step of the process. It really is as simple as that!

The Price to Make Your Own Lego Figure

Custom minifigures cost $11.99, which I think is a reasonable price considering your Lego Minifigure will be one of a kind.

Both of my girls loved creating their own mini-figures. So, as far as souvenirs go, I highly recommend the experience for all Lego lovers who are visiting Disney Springs.

How Long Does It Take to Create Your Own Lego Figure?

The designing of our Lego Minifigures took around 10 minutes because there really are so many different options to choose from. Once you’ve finalised your design, however, then the actual printing process takes roughly 5 minutes with an additional 2 minutes of drying time.
