The pirate-inspired hotel in Winter Haven is just steps away from the Legoland Florida theme park and Peppa Pig Theme Park and is the perfect accommodation for families of up to five people. Pirate Island Hotel Rooms

All rooms throughout the Pirate Island Hotel sleep up to five guests and have a separate sleeping area for the children. The adult sleeping area has a large king bed, and the kids can argue over who gets the top bunk, bottom bunk, or the pull-out trundle bed.

The rooms are bright, colorful, and immersive. They truly transform your holiday into a pirate-themed adventure from the second you wake up to the second you go to sleep.

Inside the room, you’ll have access to two TVs, air conditioning, a mini-fridge, an Amazon Alexa, free wifi, and an in-room safe. The Pirate Island Hotel (with the help of Alexa) also puts on a daily in-room treasure hunt with Lego prizes and the room comes supplied with Lego bricks that the kids can build with during your stay.

Even the bathroom is kitted out in pirate theming with pirate-inspired bath curtains and pirate-themed decor. There is a little seat adaptor for smaller kid size bottoms too!

Shipwreck Restaurant and Bricks Restaurant Legoland

Guests at the Pirate Island Hotel can head to the Shipwreck Restaurant or the Bricks Restaurant to receive their complimentary all-you-can-eat family-style breakfast. Their menus consist of hot traditional breakfast items, as well as fruit, cereals, and muffins. Vegan and vegetarian options are also catered for in both restaurants.

The Bricks Restaurant opens for dinner from 5 pm – 8 pm every day. Seating works on a first come, first serve basis, and guests can enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet menu of meats, salad, pasta, vegetables, and so much more. You can check out the full Bricks Restaurant menu here

The Shipwreck Restaurant, however, requires a booking reservation for their three-course all-you-can-eat menu. Families will receive a starter salad, a family share platter option, and a dessert option. Kids’ choices are also available upon request, and the little ones can blow off some steam in the restaurant’s play area. Kids are given an activity sheet with crayons, a pirates bandana and at the end of the meal some chocolate coins. You can find the full Shipwreck Restaurant menu here.

I also wanted to mention that guests of the Pirate Island Hotel can dine in the Skyline Lounge, which has an a la carte menu and is open from noon daily. The Skyline Lounge features windows looking over a Lego Skyline and a play area to keep the little ones entertained. Booking in advance is highly recommended as this restaurant fills up fast. Here are the full Skyline lunch menus and dinner menus.

Pirate Island Hotel Legoland Fun and Entertainment

One of the main reasons why families choose to stay at the Legoland hotels is because of their kid-orientated entertainment, and don’t worry; the Pirate Island Hotel is no exception to this!

Pirate Island Hotel Outdoor Swimming Pool

The outdoor heated pool at the Pirate Island Hotel is fairly standard. Parents can lounge around on the many sunchairs that line the pool’s edges, and kids can play with the floating Lego bricks while they paddle.

Master Builder Workshop

Children staying at the Pirate Island Hotel will be given access to a master builder workshop. Once you arrive at the resort, you can book in for one of the allocated time slots, and your kids can participate in the workshop and follow along with Lego instructions to create their very own Lego model (which they can take home!)

Talking Lifts/Elevators

Legoland has even made their lift journeys entertaining with a running commentary from a pirate. He talks to you throughout your ride, asking you if you have the right floor, and makes kids laugh with fake farting noises.

In-Room Treasure Hunt

I briefly mentioned before about the in-room treasure hunt; well each and every day, your kids will have a new surprise to unlock after finding the answers to different clues. The clues are spread throughout the room, and once the combination has been discovered, they will input it into their safe’s code and unlock the Lego prizes. Prizes include a book, Lego figurine and a juice.

Pajama Dance Party

The Pirate Island Hotel puts on a pajama dance party every evening at 8:30 in the Castle Play area. Kids can head on over in their PJs and show off their best moves – the perfect way to tire them out if you ask me.

Bingo, Building Challenges, Story Times, and Trivia

You can also find other nightly entertainment options, including bingo, storytimes, trivia quizzes, and Lego building challenges. Head on over to the Pirate Island Hotel Entertainment Guide for more information about times and locations.

Lego Character Meet and Greet

Meet character is the main lobby at Legoland Hotel.

Lego Jail and Library

Before entering the elevators, you’ll see a kid’s “jail cell” that your children will willingly walk into because, to be honest, it is extremely fun in there. There are buttons to press, talking boxes, jewels and of course Lego to play with on the Lego map and other places.

If you ask the front desk about a library, they’ll lend you a book.

If you’re looking for a more unique experience at the Pirate Island Hotel, you can upgrade your stay to include some special activities like s’mores around a campfire, access to a nine hole miniature golf course, and pontoon boat rides on the beautiful Lake Eloise.

Things to Know

Check-In

When you arrive at the Legoland Resort, you’ll check-in at the main Legoland lobby and walk through to the Pirate Island Hotel section once check-in is completed. Legoland has three different themed hotel sections but all three check in at the main lobby. Check in is done independently – head to the screens on the console near the main desk, enter your booking reference or name and further details, add credit card for incidentals and then press the button to receive your Lego themed room cards!

Bathrooms

All public bathrooms throughout the property have lowered sinks designed specifically for young children. They also have signs to remind you to wash your hands.

Bag Drop

The hotels at the Legoland Resort allow you to drop your bags off at the lobby if you arrive earlier than when your room is ready. Once you’ve dropped off your bags, you can head to the park and return when your room is available.

Hotel Retail Shop

Forgetting essentials happens to the best of us, but luckily the Legoland Resort has an onsite retail shop that sells everything from Lego products to everyday items such as sunscreen and diapers.

Parking

Your hotel package includes free self-parking in the main Legoland Hotel car park. As you’re just steps away from the park, you won’t need to transfer your car and pay for additional parking.
