As a family, we have stayed at both Universal’s Endless Summers resorts numerous times. We’ve stayed in lots of different hotels and resorts and consistently find this one to be great value for money. In fact we have stayed here and not gone to the parks as the price has just been too good!

Amenities for Families at Universal Endless Summer Resort Surfside 

Situated exclusively within Universal’s Endless Summer Resort – Surfside Inn and Suites, this spot caters to families seeking a blend of relaxed surf vibes and affordable comfort. We found beach-themed rooms and spacious 2-bedroom suites designed for families of up to six, creating a cozy retreat within Universal Orlando Resort. I’ve stayed in both the rooms with 2 beds and the family 2 bed suite.

At Surfside Inn, the modern rooms are equipped air conditioning, plenty of USB ports, (no USB- C yet). Plus, the practical kitchenettes featuring a fridge, microwave, and sink. For the Brits, no kettle sadly, but there is a coffee maker.

Surfside Inn and Suites has one pool with graduated zero entry for little ones. Adding to the convenience, a direct access gate to International Drive connects you to various entertainment options outside the resort and for me, where I seem to spend equal time in, the laundry room! The machines cost $3 per load for washer or dryer.

Now, onto the dining scene! Surfside Inn and Suites impressed us with a diverse array of dining choices. From casual bites to heartier meals, it ensured there was something to please everyone.

As we were staying at a Universal hotel, we enjoyed an extra hour of magic at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter with Early Park Admission.

Things to Do at Universal Endless Summer Resort Surfside with Kids

My husband always checks out the hotel gym, but I didn’t hence why no photo. We all enjoyed the surfboard-shaped pool though.

It’s heated, never felt crowded during our 3 or 4 stays here at different times of the year. Plus, they often host fun activities like bingo and hula hoop contests! Towels are provided. We have used them when visiting Volcano Bay too.

When hungry, we just swing by the lobby’s Starbucks for a quick bite or a caffeine fix. For a more fulfilling meal, Beach Break Café served up a diverse menu and offered refillable mugs for affordable drinks at the Coke Freestyle machines.

Indoor relaxation lead us to the game room with its arcade and video games that everyone loved. And don’t miss out on the Universal Studios Store in the lobby – it’s the place for souvenirs and essentials, all with a beautiful view of the lake.

At Universal’s Endless Summer Resort – Surfside Inn and Suites, families have two room options to choose from, providing a comfortable stay tailored to various preferences. The standard rooms, adorned with refreshing ocean-inspired colors, are perfect for couples or smaller families with two queen beds. More storage I found later was under the bed – which could fit our suitcases.

For larger families or those craving extra space, the 2-bedroom Suites present an ideal solution. Hosting up to six guests, these suites feature two queen beds in the main room, a practical kitchenette area with fridge and microwave and a laid-back picnic table for shared meals. With separate bath and vanity areas, the bathrooms ensure both comfort and functionality.

We have stayed in both types of room and the suite was clearly our favourite as it just meant more space for our family of 4. Plus the girls having their own bed, meant they didn’t disturb each other.

We heard rumours of the walls to be thin – we had a slight issue one night with a late night room party next door to us, but that soon quitened down and we’ve stayed since with zero issues.

• Flying in? Those complimentary shuttle buses are a blessing! They’ll whisk you straight to Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, Volcano Bay, and Universal CityWalk. If you’re driving, watch out for parking fees and try to snag a spot early, especially during busy times.
• Bringing along a little one? No worries! When booking, request a quieter room for those precious nap times. And let’s talk about the pool at Surfside; it’s a magnet for kids, so plan some laid-back poolside moments and toss in some pool toys for extra fun.

Alright, let’s venture into the delicious side of Universal’s Endless Summer Resort Surfside!

First off, the Beach Break Café gives you those Cali vibes, offering classic faves like chicken tenders and pizzas that won’t break the bank. And don’t forget their refillable cups. Worth it for 3 or more days in our opinion.

The Sand Bar is by the pool, has lot of shady spots and serves drinks only.

However if you are hungry you can use Surfside Pizza Delivery . Fresh, piping-hot pizzas delivered right to your door, perfect for late-night cravings or whenever you need a quick bite. Or bring in food from the onsite Starbucks or Beach Break Cafe restaurant.

When it comes to specific dietary needs, there’s always Starbucks in the lobby with dairy-free options, and then there’s Beach Break Café’s chef who is super accommodating.

There are also spots like KFC, Red Lobster, IHOP, Denny’s, and a Steakhouse, all a stone’s throw away. Plus, you can grab an iHop Trolley Pass for a hassle-free ride along International Drive!

Exploring beyond the hotel was easy with 5-minute shuttle rides to Universal’s theme parks and Volcano Bay – our fav water park and close to International Drive for more attractions and dining options.

ICON Park features The Orlando Eye a massive observation wheel offering breathtaking 360-degree views of Orlando.

For a touch of excitement, visit Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium, filled with odd and interesting exhibits.

Nature lovers will enjoy Leu Gardens, a green oasis in the heart of the city. And for something extraordinary, consider a hot air balloon ride for a stunning aerial view of Orlando’s landscape, adding a unique flair to your getaway.

Getting to Universal Endless Summer Resort Surfside 

Getting to Universal’s Endless Summer Resort – Surfside Inn and Suites from here is easy enough, thanks to various travel options available.

If you’re up for a road trip, grab your car at the airport, head west on Jeff Fuqua Blvd, and merge onto FL-528 West/FL-528 Toll West. Enjoy a smooth 13.8-mile ride.

When you reach Universal Blvd, keep an eye out for Surfside Way. Take a left turn, and you’ve made it to Universal’s Endless Summer Resort – Surfside Inn and Suites.

For those who love budget-friendly travel experiences, there’s the Line 42 bus. It takes about 1 hour and 3 minutes, making stops at Oia Transfer Center, Orlando Airport (MCO), and International Drive And Visitors Circle.

Once you’re dropped off, it’s just a quick 7-minute stroll (550 meters) to reach Universal’s Endless Summer Resort – Surfside Inn and Suites.

And if you’re flying, you’ve got options! Taxis, shuttles, rideshares, or the resort’s airport transportation.

Right at the doorstep of Universal’s Endless Summer Resort, you’ve got two options to choose from – Dockside Inn and Suites or Surfside Inn and Suites,

Dockside is the big one with over 2000 rooms, buzzing with action. There are not one, but two pools waiting for you! Perfect for families with super energetic kids, plus there’s a little splash pad too.

Surfside, on the other hand, is the smaller sibling with around 750 rooms, offering a more relaxed vibe. Picture a cozy pool shaped like a surfboard.

Now, when it comes to food, Dockside’s got a bigger food court with loads of options. The lobby’s always bustling like a mini theme park! Great for families who love that lively scene.

But Surfside’s food court is a bit cozier, like a buzzing café vibe. It’s the spot to kick back after a day of adventures, especially for those who dig a more relaxed dining spot.

Cost wise there isn’t much in it and both are good value hotels.
