Galaxy Bowl at Cabana Bay Resort

Universal’s Cabana Bay Resort is a vacationer’s paradise. With its vibrant colors and retro vibes, it’s got enough activities to keep everyone entertained. But beyond the usual poolside fun, there’s also the Galaxy Bowl, the resort’s very own bowling alley!

While it may not be the most top-billed, it is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser with our kids (and refuels hungry bowlers with its awesome on-site restaurant).

Both seasoned pros and families full of newbies just looking for some laughs will find the Galaxy Bowl to be the perfect way to spend an afternoon or evening at Cabana Bay.

Located on the second floor, Galaxy Bowl takes you on a trip back in time. Inspired by the classic Hollywood bowling alleys of the 1950s, it captures the retro charm with all the modern comforts you expect.

Ten shiny lanes await, each equipped with comfy seating and electronic scoring systems. For those with little ones in tow, they have bowling balls in all sizes.

They’ve got options for all ages and throwing styles, ensuring everyone gets a chance to join in on the fun.

Socks are on sale if you have forgotten some and bowling shoes are provided.

Galaxy Bowl Restaurant

The on-site restaurant at Galaxy Bowl offers lane-side dining as well as dining off the lanes. So sit back, relax and have the food delivered to your lane for you to steal a bite out of between each frame!

Appetizers include wings (Buffalo, BBQ, or whatever else you’re in the mood for!), oven-roasted broccolis or loaded fries. If the little ones are looking for some milder bites, check out their cheese curds and mini pretzels. Or you can just go for a sampler and have a little taste of all of them as well! They also have a Super Salad and a House Caesar Salad with a handful of add-ons, from bacon and steak to vegan patties as well!

The main courses here include sandwiches, wraps, ribs and burgers. Check out their BYO (Build Your Own) Burger, where you can customize and pick your cheese (American, Swiss or cheddar) and sauce (BBQ, Buffalo or sweet chili) options along with their classic layers of lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles. All main courses come with your choice of potato wedges, fruit, coleslaw or broccoli as well!

For the adults looking for a pot of concoction to restore their stamina, Galaxy Bowl also serves loads of cocktails, beers and wines. They have some quirky mixes up their sleeves so don’t forget to try something unique and fun while you’re here. The younger ones can indulge in sodas and other non-alcoholic drinks during their games as well.

Booking Slots at Galaxy Bowl

Galaxy Bowl is open daily from 12 pm to 11 pm, but keep in mind these hours can change. It’s always a good idea to double-check their website or call ahead to confirm before you head over.

Reservations are a must to secure your lane, so avoid any last-minute frustration and book your spot in advance.  This ensures a hassle-free bowling experience for you and your crew.

Dining reservations are optional, but highly recommended, especially during peak times. This way, you can avoid any wait times and focus on the fun (and maybe some post-bowling snacks!).

Time on the lanes is allocated based on your group size. One to three players get 45 minutes, while larger groups of four to eight enjoy 75 minutes. This gives everyone enough time to unwind and unleash their inner bowler.

Pricing is simple.  Everyone over 10 years old pays $17 per slot, which includes shoe rental. For younger bowlers under 10, the price drops to $11. They even offer a “Speed Bowling” option with 20 minutes of lane time for just $9 (excluding tax).

Ready to book your lane? Here’s how:

Smaller groups (under 3 players): Call (407) 503-4230 to reserve your spot.

Larger parties:  For groups of 4 or more, contact pmanley@loewshotels.com or call (407) 503-4170 to make your reservation. Or if you are staying at Cabana Bay just walk on over or speak to reception.
