  • The Princess and the Frog is the first Disney film since The Lion King in 1994 to be nominated for Best Original Song at the Academy Awards.
  • Tiana was originally going to be called Maddy.
  • Louis the alligator was named in honor of a the great jazz player Louis Armstrong.
