Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen

Enter a world of that seems like Willy Wonka with Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and indulge in a variety of their signature milkshakes and various dining options. With a steampunk theme and interesting industrial contraptions, the restaurant’s fun story and characters make it a hit with kids.

It even has a themed “founder” of the restaurant, who accompanied by her pet “robot”, walks about and greets the guests with stories!

There’s an all-day brunch menu with items such as berries and cream waffles, french toast, and apple pie crepes. A kids’ menu is also available, featuring pasta, chicken fingers, waffles, and burgers priced at $6.99.

A huge variety of sweets and milkshakes are available that come with a mountain of toppings, such as an entire cupcake or brownie. Regular pastry options are available as well if you crave something sweet but want something other than milkshakes. The red velvet cheesecake is a popular recommendation to try!

The prices are moderate, and the brunch menu portions are large as well. However, the restaurant is extremely popular, so you might need to be prepared for long waiting times during peak hours, so arriving early for breakfast is ideal.

Hard Rock Cafe

Nestled on the walkway between Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, Hard Rock Cafe has a great breakfast menu for you and your kids to enjoy. Breakfast is usually served between 8–10 a.m.

The menu has some well-loved classics, eggs benedict, pancakes, and even breakfast sandwiches. There is also a kid’s menu that serves a “Roxstars Breakfast” which consists of two scrambled eggs, toast, fries, and fresh fruit.

Children can also indulge in “Pint Size Pancakes”, which includes two buttermilk pancakes with maple butter and syrup. The meal also comes with fresh fruit for a balanced nutritional breakfast.

Although the prices here are on the higher side (with even toast costing $3.50), the fact that it is the world’s largest Hard Rock makes this vibrant restaurant well worth it in our books! The atmosphere is lively, with rock music playing and various rock memorabilia decorating the walls.

The place is a sensory treat for young children who will enjoy soaking up the energy in the room.

Voodoo Doughnut

Voodoo Doughnut is a must-visit for families with kids! With an impressive selection of over 50 different flavors, including specialty donuts, fritters, bars, and even vegan options, there is something for everyone to enjoy. One of the most popular options is the ‘Voodoo Doll’, a fun, quirky, raspberry-jelly-filled donut that is shaped like a doll that is impaled on a pretzel stick!

Some of the establishment’s best options include “The Chuckles”, “Smoky Campfire” and “My Captain” which is a fan favorite. Try the Fryer Flyer Dozen, a pre-selected package of twelve quality donuts that is guaranteed to satisfy your sweet tooth.

With donuts that range from simple to spectacular, there are options here for all wallets, from the cheaper cake donuts to the $10 Texas-sized glazed donut.

This food and beverage stop, located in the bustling Universal City Walk just before the security checkpoint, is an ideal stop for those arriving from the parking garages or the bus-drop and ride-share areas. It offers a number of menu options, such as muffins, fruits, and pastries, which are all perfect for a quick bite.

Fresh Eats even serves some of the famous Voodoo doughnuts! The location also has a mini Starbucks which provides a limited range of coffee options for those needing a caffeine fix. Just a heads up – be prepared to pay a premium because Fresh Eats’ prices are higher than those at nearby restaurants and bars.
