If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I love Orlando and Florida full stop. I’m always looking for a great deal to visit and have explored many times and stayed in over 15 of the hotels there, still a few to go.
Here I’ll share the deal I find from great flight prices to amazing hotels with lazy river, water parks and everything brilliant to make your holiday perfect!
You may have heard that UK residents get great deals on park tickets which other places don’t get. These are 14 days tickets for the price of 7. BUT if you don’t want to spend all your time at the parks, then there are other options to get access to lower rated tickets for 3, 4, 5 day etc tickets or basically however long you want you visit.
To work out how to get the best park ticket deal:
Option One: If you are visiting for 2 weeks from the UK, you may plan one week at Disney Parks and one week at Universal. In this case you will find the 14 days for price of 7 the best value. One trusted supplier is Attraction Tickets to get both Disney AND Universal Tickets. They are the trusted supplier who Universal use to sell their tickets in the UK. You can also buy your Disney tickets direct from Disney UK if you prefer. Attraction Tickets normally throw in some freebies so it’s worth comparing.
Option Two: You are visiting Orlando for less than 2 weeks or are planning to do some other things on top of the parks. You only want to do a 3 or 4 days at Disney and maybe 2 or 3 at Universal. In this case, the 14 for price of 7 day tickets are not going to be the best value for you as most of those days will get wasted. You can either hop on a VPN and go on to the Disney or Universal USA sites and purchase, or access the Attraction Tickets US site easily without a VPN and select the dates you need.
In short, if you are visiting one of the parks for 2+ days, these tickets tend to better value with a small discount. Their price promise it to always beat the gate price!
For Universal, one of my favourite deals is the 2 parks, 2 days, park to park ticket. This means you can use the Hogwarts Express and go to and from either Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure and vice versa as many times as you like. The Hogwarts journey is different each each way and a park to park ticket is the only way you get to ride it. If you are not bothered about Harry Potter or the Wizarding World, then grab the ticket without park to park.

There are several airports to choose from in the Orlando area.
Orlando MCO – is the main airport. BA, Virgin and Norse fly into this one. It’s closest to Kissimmee where the Parks are and I-drive.
Melbourne Airport – This is the airport TUI use. TUI fly direct to MLB airport from Glasgow, Manchester, Newcastle and London Gatwick. This airport is a good 90 mins out and is closest to the Universal area. You will need to factor in additional costs of an Uber or hire car.
Tampa – Tampa is on the West Coast but an easy drive to Orlando which takes about 2 hours. We have found good deals to here before and stay the night in Tampa and then awake refreshed to drive a hire car up to Orlando. BA and Virgin fly here.
Miami – Miami is further south and good 3 hour drive. You can also get the Brightline train if you don’t drive, making it an easy option that we have used before. Weigh up if the cost of the train still makes the flight to Miami a good deal. BA & Virgin are some of the airlines that fly into Miami.
